--> below are the topics we will be going over

Day 1

What are your 2016 Blogger Resolutions?
Since I am newer than most at this, having just started my on Christmas day 2015 - I think this one will be a little less complex for me, as I am still trying to find my footing!

To schedule post on BY SUNDAY for the entire week.. This way, I don't have to rush each day if I didn't have something scheduled for that day.

To do AT LEAST 2 reviews a week.. I know this is a book review blog, but I don't think it is reasonable for me to do a review every single day. I read because I LOVE to - I don't want to feel like I have to rush through the book to hurry and get to the next.

To complete all challenges I sign up for.. This one is big for me, as I strive to push myself!

To be active in my UTC Book Club & Events.. I signed up for the club as well as one other event they are doing and I think they sound awesome! It is a wonderful way to meet new people, as well as open my mind to new books and genres I would normally not pick up!

Be more social on networks.. I know a big part of the blogging game is to be social. This is where I need to step is up, as I can sometimes be a little bit of a private person.

Attend AT LEAST one blogging/author event.. This is something I have wanted to do for awhile know! I think it would be an amazing experience - as well as a way to meet up with people I have met through this wonderful blogging experience, as well as meeting authors I have connected with and discovered!

I think that is just about all I can think of right now. My biggest thing is that I do not want to over do it on anything. I started this for a fun experience and I want to keep it that way! I, in no way, want this to ever feel like it is becoming a job - but to stay something that I love to do. I know the list is slightly off and kind of all over the place, but I feel like it is me.. I am a scatterbrained person and it takes everything in me sometimes to stay on one track!

Thanks for stopping by FHR!

  1. Setting the blog post up on Sunday what a wonderful idea. I would like to attend a blogging/author event that is something I have never done before.

    1. I figured Sunday would work best - because it sets the post for the ENTIRE week Monday - Sat.. Then we start over on Sunday.. This gives me plenty of time to interact and do other things during the week since I won't be busy scheduling post!

As for the events, I think it would be a blast!
      Thanks for following! (:

  2. Your Sunday idea is a great idea.

What I do is as soon as a meme post is published, I immediately set up the one for the following week.

A review a day is a bit crazy for sure. Even two reviews a week would be difficult for me. I am a slow reader. :)

Best of luck with your new blog and your resolutions. I like your blog name and your header.

    Happy New Year!!

    1. Thank you! The Sunday idea seems to be a real hit! I think it would make the entire week that much easier and free up some space during the week!

A review every single day is a bit insane! I don't want reading to become a CHORE.. So as I finish a novel, I will write the review.. But I don't want to feel so rushed through the book to get 3-5 reviews up a week, that it takes the enjoyment out of the book!

Thanks for stopping in and following!

    2. Good thinking about the reviews. Reading is pleasure not a chore. :)

  3. Great goals! I also hate the rush of writing a post the night before so I always try to have a few posts scheduled in advance.

    1. Thank you! I like the idea of having them done in advance! This gives me some free time and some leeway in case something happens and I cannot get something posted on a certain day!

      Thanks for stopping in!

  4. The being social is hard for me too. In real life and online. Good Luck!!

  5. I love the idea of posts being ready by Sunday. One day in advance sounds doable. I might have to keep this in mind for myself. Two reviews a week is great. We should enjoy what we read, not feel rushed just to get the post up. Also, many blogs I've seen a review a day have 2-4 reviewers as a team. The being more social is one I really want to step up on as well.
