Or better yet, you can also join in and we can all discuss all over the place!
--> below are the topics we will be going over

Day 3
The Negative Things in Blogging 2015 to avoid in 2016.

Again, since I did not come in until the end of 2015, there is not much I can add to this discussion post, but there are SOME things I noticed just from following along with blogs until I decided to make my own.

❤ Burnout - This is not something that has happened to me personally, since I just started - but reading and blogging is something I feel passionately about and I want to avoid this at all cost! I have seen it happen to others and it sucks, because I know they felt the same way at one point. I have learned it is about finding balance between the blogging and the rest of your life!

❤ Stealing - if something isn't yours - don't use it. This was something I noticed was a BIG issue in 2015. Be is someone using reviews that were not theirs and passing them as their own, images being passed as their own, complete discussion post, and even authors having their work stolen and passed off as another book with a different title. This honestly makes me sad and it caused A TON of issues within the community. I have even seen it end friendships simply on a difference of opinion. I know there are always going to be dishonest people out there - but let's not take this trend into 2016. We are all here to do something we love, authors and bloggers alike, lets all have the heart to keep things honest!

❤ Author (and groupies) versus Bloggers - With this, I am referring to those bloggers, or simply reviewers without blogs, who post a review on Goodreads or somewhere that is LESS THAN 3 STARS.. All the sudden it is WW3 and everyone is all up and arms about how someone could possibly hate this book and they must be lying. The language used against these reviewers is insane. Everyone just needs to understand that not everyone is going to like a book. That is the joy of reading. The diverse opinions that ONE novel can bring on, makes for an interesting discussion. So lets all be old enough to handle these discussions as adults and understand that just because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't meant they are wrong.

  2. Sounds like me I did not start my blog until 12/15. So I don't have anything to say that is negative about blogging. You can see mine here: http://theresaraymer.blogspot.com/

  3. I missed a lot of the drama this past year (thankfully), but boo to stealing.

I'm glad you're having so much fun- it was like Harry discovering he was a wizard when I first started book blogging and realized that there were thousands of people out there who enjoyed reading and books and talking about reading books as much as I did!
